AstareGlobe Upgrades Servers To Be More Powerful and Energy-Efficient

Gulf Coast, USA - AstareGlobe relaunched today on new server hardware that is more powerful and energy efficient.

The relaunch stems from AstareGlobe's ongoing efforts to stay on the edge of technology and the need to increase reliability. With AstareGlobe venturing into software and web development for business, educational institutions, and other organizations, there is an ever-growing need to ensure all of our services remain online with the least amount of downtime.

AstareGlobe recently acquired two identical, custom-designed server systems. We call these our Gemini servers. They come with leading-edge processors that run at lower voltages, and have hard disk drives that spin at slower speeds, all in an effort to reduce energy consumption. Also, our Gemini servers are powered by 80 PLUS Bronze Certified power supplies, running at efficiencies of 82% or more at various states of load.

As we grow, we are committed to reducing our overall impact on the environment, while at the same time ensuring our services are available with the least amount of downtime. Our Gemini servers are just the start.
