TripTracker team reaches major milestone
Tony Gulino
@ Wed Jun 2 2010 7:23:00 AM
Orlando, FL - After a little over two weeks of being available to Global Passholders and Staff Members, TripTracker, AstareGlobe's tool for Staff Members and Global Passholders to quickly calculate road mileage and tolls among Florida's expressways, has reached another milestone of development.
The team has added the full length of all major expressways in the Southeastern Florida area. These include FL-869 (Sawgrass Expressway) and FL-826 (Palmetto Expressway), which have been available since late May. The new expressways are FL-874 (Don Shula Expressway), FL-878 (Snapper Creek Expressway), FL-836 (Dolphin Expressway), FL-924 (Gratigny Parkway), FL-112 (Airport Expressway), I-195 (part of FL-112), I-395 (part of FL-836), and I-595 (FL-862). Road links between these new roads and other existing roads allow travelers to create a multi-legged route that uses any roadway programmed into the system in order to create a detailed report, providing the mileage and tolls for the entire route.
At this time, the total number of roadways programmed for TripTracker has reached 24. These include 14 state- and locally-maintained expressways and toll roads, 7 Interstate highways, and 3 US Routes. The team will continue adding major roads in Florida to the system, specifically roads near the Jacksonville and Tampa areas, as well as branching out I-10, I-75, and I-95 to surrounding states. Work on the US Routes will also continue, with the goal to complete US-1, US-27, and US-192 first, and then continuing on to US-17, US-92, US-41, US-441, US-90, US-98, and other various US Routes that are in Florida.

TripTracker update
Tony Gulino
@ Fri May 28 2010 10:00:00 PM
Orlando, FL - Just 10 days after the initial launch of TripTracker, AstareGlobe's tool for Staff Members and Global Passholders to quickly calculate road mileage and tolls among Florida's expressways, the team has made major headway with the project. The launch just included three roadways: FL-91 NB / Florida's Turnpike, excluduing the Homestead Extension (FL-821), FL-408 / OOCEA East/West Expressway, and FL-417 / Central Florida GreeneWay.
Since then, various other major roadways were added to the system. These include the rest of Florida's Turnpike (FL-821), I-4, I-10, I-75, I-95, FL-429 / Western Beltway, FL-528 / Beachline Expressway, US-1, US-27, US-192, FL-60, and most recently, FL-826 / Palmetto Expressway and FL-869 / Sawgrass Expressway.
Most of the roads programmed into the system have road links with other roads programmed into the system. These road links allow people using TripTracker to create a multi-legged route and have TripTracker calculate the total mileage and tolls along the entire route.
The team will continue adding roads to the system and making further improvements. The next steps the team will take are completion of the interchange lists for the Interstates, programming all of the Miami-area expressways, Tampa-area expressways, finishing US-1, US-27, and US-192, and adding US-17, US-92, US-441, US-41, US-90, US-98, FL-A1A. During the same time, the team will branch out I-10 to the West and program major junctions in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California, most likely in that order.

AstareGlobe launches TripTracker Preview
Tony Gulino
@ Wed May 19 2010 3:03:00 PM
Orlando, FL - AstareGlobe has launched a
preview of TripTracker
, a tool for Staff Members and Global Passholders that is capable of calculating the cost (in tolls) and mileage when traveling any road in the world.
TripTracker is currently targeted for Staff Members and Global Passholders in the Central Florida area. At this time, a limited number of roads in the Central Florida area is available. These include the full length of Florida's Turnpike (FL SR-91) not including any of the Homestead Extension interchanges (SR-821), the full length of FL SR-408 (East-West Expressway) East and West, and the full length of FL SR-417 (Central Florida GreeneWay) North and South.
The team is working on integrating more roadways into the system. These include FL SR-429 (Western Beltway), FL SR-528 (Beachline Expressway), and select parts of Interstate 4 near the Central Florida area. Also, interchanges among Interstate 10, Interstate 75, Interstate 95, and Florida's Turnpike will also be programmed for mileage purposes. The full length of these Interstates will be added afterwards. Most expressways and toll bridges in the Tampa and Miami areas will be added on a future date. We hope to eventually cover all of the expressways and other major roads in the entire state of Florida.
The team hopes this tool will be useful for Staff Members and Global Passholders that live in the Central Florida area. Any feedback is greatly appreciated, and can be given through the
contact
link on any page on the AstareGlobe website.

AstareGlobe announces TripTracker
Tony Gulino
@ Thu May 13 2010 4:23:00 AM
Orlando, FL - Are you a staff member or Passholder in the Greater Orlando area in Florida? The AstareGlobe Innovata development team is teaming up with the Operations and Information departments to bring you a new tool useful when traveling - a mileage and toll rate calculator. This tool allows people to quickly figure out the total mileage and cost of tolls when using any roadway that has been programmed into the system. This new tool is called TripTracker, and can be extended to include any roadway in the world. For now, the team is working to program all of the Central Florida expressways, select parts of Interstate 4, Interstate 75, and Florida's Turnpike, and select State Roads in the Central Florida area.
TripTracker was originally going to be accessible only to AstareGlobe Staff Members, but the team has decided that the tool may be useful for regular Passholders as well. The tool will be released as a web-based preview in a couple of days. Look out for a press release then.
Happy driving!

Updates are coming to InfiniDreams and SyncProof+
Tony Gulino
@ Sun Mar 21 2010 12:44:00 AM
The InfiniDreams and SyncProof+ teams are hard at work with new updates to both projects.
The InfiniDreams team has announced an update to Stats. Stats currently measures statistics across all of the dreams in your library. However, some people have expressed the desire to run statistics on just a subset of dreams. The team has decided to add the ability to run statistics on any Dream Search, giving people the ability to run statistics on dreams in a date range, that contain certain elements, or any criteria supported by Dream Searches. This will greatly improve the Stats feature and give more useful information to those looking to make connections between their dreams and discover trends with their dream activity.
SyncProof+ was scheduled to have an updated build on March 7, which included Timed SyncLinks as its most useful feature. The team has encountered some delays, but is pleased to announce most of the groundwork has been done and that the build can be expected as soon as tomorrow, March 21. Timed SyncLinks will allow people to automatically synchronize their SyncLinks, as a whole, a group, or individually, on a schedule. SyncLinks can be automatically on a schedule for one time, daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly, and multiple triggers can be defined per SyncLink, as customizable as necessary. Also, automatic synchronizations can be run manually if chosen. A full list of features will accompany the new release once it is posted.
These updates to both projects are part of an ongoing effort to make these
free
products even more useful for those who use them, or are looking to use them in the near future. More updates will accompany InfiniDreams and SyncProof+, as well as Dreamspell Explorer, in the near future.

Right on time,
Build #5
of the SyncProof+ Project has been released. You may access more information about this release and all other releases through the download page. Check out the

for more information.
Everyone is reminded that SyncProof+ is still in the beta stage of development. The team has been using SyncProof+ as their primary file synchronization and backup solution. Even so, the team cannot guarantee at this time that SyncProof+ is free of bugs or oddities. Testers are encouraged to report any such bugs through the AstareGlobe website.

Tony Gulino
@ Tue Mar 2 2010 1:04:00 AM
Hey there, Tony from Innovata here. Just thought I'd let everyone know that two of our software projects are being updated.
SyncProof+
has an
updated roadmap
which details the dates that some new features can be expected. Soon, previous versions and online access will be available!
Dreamspell Explorer
will undergo some graphical updates, bringing the graphics now used in Dreamspell Explorer on the AstareGlobe website to the desktop client. Many of the views, such as day, castle, destiny castle, and galactic birthdays will be available in the desktop client. Also, the team is adding in the ability to synchronize your saved dates from the desktop client up to the web-based application.
Keep checking the news of these individual projects, as new releases of these projects are expected within the next couple of days.

AstareGlobe re-launches site with new features
Tony Gulino
@ Sun Jul 26 2009 12:51:00 AM
Baton Rouge, LA - Earlier this evening AstareGlobe re-launched its website, this time with more than usually accompanies a re-launch.
The first noticeable change is the addition of
Web Slices
, small snippets of information that can be added to your home page (if you have a user account with us). Seven web slices debuted with the re-launch, allowing people to customize their home pages with information from their calendar, Dreamspell Explorer, InfiniDreams, AstareGlobe Online Services, and the National Weather Service.
Secondly, AstareGlobe introduced a new theme, complete with
customizable backgrounds
. Fifteen different backgrounds are available for members to choose from, and members are able to upload their own backgrounds. Each page on the AstareGlobe website will have the same background, leading to a more aesthetically-pleasing and elegant environment.
In addition to the launch of
Dreamspell Explorer
on July 23, these new features help to make AstareGlobe a useful and productive place for storing and retrieving information, learning about new things, and making the day easier. There are many more exciting and intriguing things awaiting us in the new 13 Moon Calendar year, and we can't wait to show you!

Dreamspell Explorer team launches web-based Dreamspell Explorer
Tony Gulino
@ Thu Jul 23 2009 1:37:00 PM
Baton Rouge, LA - Exactly 260 days ago, we opened up the
Dreamspell Explorer
website up to the public. Since then, we've made many accomplishments in other areas, like InfiniDreams, but this area remained inactive.
That's not to say we haven't been hard at work here! As you know, the Daily Dreamspell Mailer has been active since then. Plus, if you're a member here, you can subscribe to the Daily Dreamspell Mailer and get daily updates in your email. We've been making improvements to the programming that does all the calculation work behind the scenes. We got the code up to a usable point by the public and released a beta of Dreamspell Explorer for the desktop.
And today, we are pleased to announce that everything you can do with Dreamspell Explorer is now on the web! The web-based Dreamspell Explorer is capable of calculating dates and displaying many details about them to give people a broader understanding of how the Dreamspell and 13 Moon Calendar works.
As of 260 days ago, our goal remains the same: We hope to make this area useful and helpful to those seeking more information about Dreamspell and the 13 Moon Calendar.
